Mermade is a digitally focused production and entertainment company working across the US and UK. We specialise in scripted and non-scripted for social, digital and OnDemand broadcasters. Mermade was founded in 2018 as the sister company to Merman. We exist to delight and disrupt the premium digital landscape. Generating original IP and breaking the new wave of talent.
In 2018 Mermade signed a first look deal with Topic developing a mix of short form scripted and long form broadcast shows. Down From London came out of this collaboration and is currently in paid development to become a feature.
Other Mermade projects include social sketch show, Big Juice for Channel 4 (with our Brit-ish sketch hitting 7.8million views on Facebook alone). We collaborated with LadBible on the Facebook Watch entertainment series, Fantastic Machines. And have been supplying Amazon Prime Video UK’s YouTube channel with movie and TV parody sketches written and starring comedy duo, The Pin: Every character in… and Characters Cut from…
Mermade has offices in London and LA. Joshua Buckingham is UK Managing Director, and Melanie Donkers runs development from Mermade USA. Sharon Horgan, Clelia Mountford, Jeremy Rainbird and Kira Cartensen are all board members.
